The GOP is at it again. Both the McCain campaign and the RNC have used some very slimy math techniques along with maliciously false claims to try to run up a huge number of Obama votes for tax increases.

Senator McCain has voted repeatedly against giving our law enforcement officers the resources they need to protect our communities. Senator McCain voted against funding for the successful COPS program and against interoperable communications equipment for first responders.

Two PSAs are available today and tomorrow exclusively on MySpace (www.myspace.com/18in08) and were released by 18 in ‘08 (www.18in08.com), a nonpartisan youth-run organization dedicated to registering, mobilizing and engaging young voters for the 2008 election.

McCain has consistently surrounded himself with Republican party insiders and lobbyists that have embarrassed him and and his campaign over and over, but nothing could have prepared me for this one.

When exactly did it become a acceptable for a national party to ignore issues and focus instead on the kind of work normally left to special interest groups like 2004’s Swiftboat Veterans for Truth?

Once again the RNC has decided to reach back into the earlier days of the primary season to try to sow more dissent among Democrats. It still amazes me that there are at least five RNC press releases that do not mention their candidate for every one that mentions McCain.

The DNC released a press statement this morning directing people to the this Youtube video. The video contains some overgeneralized and superficial factoids designed to link john McCain and ‘evil lobbyists’ who have represented the interests of America’s enemies.

The Republican National Committee launched a new website to accuse Barak Obama of bad judgment in who he accepts donations from, but failed to do their homework which shows that the titular head of the organization accepted $5,000 from the same donor!
