He's also handy to have around to explain to McCain the differences between Sunni's and Shiites. My question I guess is about the numbers. Are there more hawkish Democrats than there are socially conservative Republicans? It seems like hes going after a relatively small set of voters at the cost of alienating a bigger set. I agree with Erik up there...I think McCain is tryin harder to get the moderate to conservative dems instead of the conservative right republicans. Oh well..just another reason why I won't vote for him.
