I realized I hadn’t posted any bash.org quotes for a while and when I went to look I came across several that I wanted to share.  I’ve been using IRC since well.. for a very very long time (remember BEFORE DalNET came and went?)  and I don’t remember bash.org ever having this many political quotes.  People seem far more aware of whats going on this election cycle than they have in prior cycles.  I know some of these quips may have been on Leno or elsewhere.  IRC users are nothing if nor opportunistic sharers of others jokes.

<Amul Muzz> Why do I get the feeling that this is really a mob, just waiting for someone to say something they do not agree with?
<chrismjr> That’s the best description for the internet I’ve ever heard

<fugi> when mccain wins the election and invades iran, do we get to yell "Monopoly!" and put hotels across iraq, iran and afghanistan?

And more classic Bash stuff:

< FurnaceBoy> all he has to do is type what we told him
< Tonren> bluecake: When you run a command in a Linux terminal, it searches your path for the command.  type "echo $PATH" to see where Linux will look for commands you type.
< FurnaceBoy> stop trying to educate, Tonren. this is irc.
< FurnaceBoy> we yell at people
