JOB DESCRIPTION:
The NOC Support Technician is responsible for acting on customer phone calls and Network Monitoring pages in response to problems and outages involving voice and/or data customer circuits. The successful candidate will have an excellent phone manner and the skills necessary to troubleshoot problems with a wide range of circuit types and routers. She or He will also open tickets with other carriers when necessary..
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer customer phone calls to our NOC phone queue
- Acknowledge and investigate Network pages
- Troubleshoot and solve Voice and Data connectivity issues
- Open trouble tickets with other departments and carriers when needed
- Analyzing, testing, and correcting all SNiPLink network issues. This would include problems with Local, Long Distance, and Data services.
- Test T-1s to make sure they are operating effectively, or to determine where problem is and solution to problem
- Assist in the development and maintenance of accurate departmental documentation and processes
- Work trouble tickets to resolution
