Brian and I and a few folks from work did this last night. Anyone bored tonight might want to head in and check out the SonicVision show at the planetarium (mixed by Moby) and then check out the IMAX film “Pulse: A Stomp Odyssey” - its running through 3:00am or so. You can’t beat the $10.00 5PM to 9AM admission price that gets you into both Sonic Vision and the IMAX film.

Fifty Hours to Love the Heart
The Giant Heart Beats for an Entire Weekend in February, 2005!
This February, The Giant Heart will stay open around the clock—day and night—to celebrate 50 years as a Philadelphia icon, as well as American Heart Month and Valentine’s Day. Beginning at 3PM on Friday, February 11, 2005, and going through 5PM on Sunday, February 13, 2005, The Franklin Institute will stay open for 50 consecutive hours!
There is a full slate of activities planned for visitors of all ages, during daylight hours and during those wee hours of the night. There will be 50 birthday cakes, a giant birthday card for visitors to sign, as well as a movie marathon featuring the Greatest Love Stories of all time. Dozens of couples will also renew their wedding vows, and even get married, in front of The Giant Heart on Friday night.
All weekend long, there will be special hands-on activities and demonstrations for children, including the making of stethoscopes. Get your heart pumping with exercise demonstrations, courtesy of the Philadelphia Sports Club. Tasty “Heart Tarts” will be on sale all weekend long, so you can treat your sweetheart to a sweet treat! Other highlights include a heart-healthy cooking demonstration with distinguished Philadelphia restaurant-owner Georges Perrier, The Giant Heart Gala and Silent Auction on Saturday night, and the building of a Giant Heart made of Dominos on Sunday. All weekend long, there will be late night shows in the Fels Planetarium, and, most importantly, access to The Giant Heart any time of day or night!
