A new thing to fear

I used to just worry about the street violence in this country and road rage and other media induced fears - now I have to be on the lookout for exploding whales.
Read the story with photos on Yahoo!.

This is really pretty cool!

As opposed as I am to many genetically modified foods and crops and predatory seedforms this is genetic research at work in a way I can appreciate. I know much of what the plant does could be done via technology but think about how usefull this would have been for the people in [...]

From morons.org today

Axis of stupidity member Focus on the Family is telling President Bush that government endorsement of religion must come with no strings attached…
This story is especially apropros today as I’m writing from Colorado Springs where Focus on the Family is based. In response to President Bush’s call for more "faith-based" program support from the government [...]

Nice archive of recipes…

While reading the SF Gate Morning Fix today I found via a link from a link this nice little recipe archive. It’s from Planet Organics - a home organic produce delivery service in California (much like the local NJ one that  uses) so most of the recipes have a distinctive vegetal leaning. http://www.planetorganics.com/recipes/recipes.asp I have grabbed [...]

All the finalitlies and such were completed without a problem and we were finished by 2:00pm.

28 1/2 hours

We did the final walkthrough in the house last night.
It was amazing how many things we spotted (and liked) that we had missed the first time around. We had only seen the place for under 30 minutes before making an offer. Many of the rooms were bigger than we remembered and we finally [...]

We are doing the walk through on Wednesday either on our lunch hour or that evening. That will be the second time we have been in the house. We decided to buy it within minutes of [...]

Oh yea…

We now have a third cat - her name is Josie.
One of my employees had adopted her from a shelter about a year ago. He grew bored with having a cat and was going to take her back to the shelter. That upset me so I talked to Brian and we decided [...]

Family Week

My family is truly strange and bizarre and generally not in a fun way.  Most of my immediate family are worse than the rest.  The words hypocritical, racist, intolerant, homophobic, and bigot all spring to mind readily.  There is a reason I left home so young and a reason I live at least a thousand [...]
