Yesterday one of my employees was late for work. This is not uncommon, but this time he had a good reason.

He came over to my office to tell me -

There is some construction going on across the street from his daughter’s elementary school. One of the guys there had been making rude and vaguely threatening comments to his (gorgeous) wife. She finally told him about it, so Jose went with her to the school and after seeing what his wife was dealing with he marched into the on-site trailer office thingie and complained to the site manager. He must have handled it pretty well becuase the site manager called the employee dude in and fired him on the spot.

Just wanted to say I’m proud of Jose for doing the right thing when a member of his family was feeling threatened.
